Five majolica corn plates, vintage shakers and a corn platter round out this group of dinnerware ceramics. Beautiful pattern and colors. Date unknown. Mark on back says Made in Japan. Beautiful blue transferware platter is oval in shape with a gently scalloped lip. An Asiatic pheasant pattern complements any country, cottage, shabby chic or ro- mantic decor. "White Castles on upper Missouri" is a reproduction of an aquatint by artist Karl Bodmer (1809-1893) to illustrate Prince Maximillian of Wied- Neuwied's travels in the interior of North America, 1832-34.
